To me this is a fine recounting of young aviators in the early Air Mail Service. This represents the men that made it work, they flew always in the shadow of death. They accept the role of innovators-on-the-fly; in more than one way.
Kincaid and Kurman, both families have formed Kurkin Aeronautical Company
to fly the mail. It was dangerous, of the first 40 pilots hired 9 survived,
Sam Kincaid leaves KAC and flies for USPS. It is Henry Kincaid that drifts away. Now Sam is thrust into corporate struggles which he would wish upon others if not for his visions for the advance of aviation. Next....?
