This a great lollapalooza for an Amish book. David is an Amish Minister and a widower with six kids. The woman that he dates Mary Mast is not the nice person that she seems. His oldest daughter Katrina seems withdrawn, sullen and depressed. So he sends her to work with a widow with a moss farm. Yes, apparently there is a market for moss. Katrina gets some bad news that she has to share with her dad. His son Jesse is in trouble with some hard core hoods. Ruthie gets tired of her three sisters being teased by Luke a classmate and sets him straight. Meanwhile, the next daughter Molly is learning to cook at the Family's expense. Believe me she is a terrible cook. And the youngest twins, Emily and Lyddie are full of nervous excitement.NOT to mention David runs a grocery store and the two ministers that he works with are spreading lies about him. This is a running book and alot more than I have mentioned here happens. It is a great read that I could not put down.
