A Merton Hemreich story. One of Lockridge's best. Begins with two strange want ads--one for a bay horse and a rifle, the other for an unused size 10 wedding dress. The ads lead to a discovery about a year own murder, a new murder, and attempted murder. All handily solved by Hemreich.
