I was worried that Vitale's intent on revenge would make him too unlikable but I was pleased that he was bothered by his actions even while he was in the middle of following through with his plan. He also learned something about himself that made him a better person in the end. That made me feel that he would be a good husband. While Zara had some difficult things in her childhood that understandably made her self-esteem quite fragile, she was no wilting violet and stood up to Vitale. I liked her. I believed they loved each other.
