Very interesting read telling of the rough voyage to America and settling in the New England wilderness. Speaks of some of the customs of the times and how the land was settled. Supposedly written from the pages of a diary kept by young Mary Newbury, a Puritan type girl with a few witch powers living in a society that fears such things. Her journal pages were discovered between the patches of a quilt of her making.
