Beautiful full page colored illustrations, full of warmth and personality - many of them magnificent seascapes. In 1771 Mingo, a black slave, shares his dream and promise of freedom with Olivia, the daughter of his master. As Olivia grows up and Mingo grows older lessons are learned about the sea, patience, and freedom.
