This is a steamy mystery with a lot of emotional connection between the characters too. It's going on my keeper shelf! Jack and Alexandra share an anonymous night together in the city before he arrives unannounced to do undercover work in her small town. He claims her as his girlfriend in front of a crowd of her co-workers so she can't reveal who he is. She helps him with the case and his grief over the loss of his partner. He saves her from past and current bad guys and teaches her to celebrate her sexuality.
