This is yet another in that series of books on "How the (insert name of a person or ethnic group here) saved or created civilization."

I believe the author makes a good case for Genghis Khan, perhaps because I leaned slightly that way before reading the book.

Even if you don't subscribe to the author's arguments, you will have to concede that "Good Ol'Genghis" sure had a lot of smarts. Perhaps if more rulers had cooperated with him, the world would be a vastly different place today.

I enjoyed this well-written book. I apologize for not posting it for others to read, but my copy is just one big water stain.
