When I started listening to this book (books on cd), I didn't want to like the characters because they weren't the same as the first book (Shoe Addicts Anonymous) and I was under the impression that this was a sequel to the first book. Only one main character of the first book appears in this one.

As I continued to listen, I did get caught up in the lives of these women and ended up enjoying the book.

The author has good skills at writing 'real' people.

I would recommend it.
