Melanie D'Angelo ran away from home to Rose Cottage, a place she and her sisters had always considered magical. The Cottage had been neglected since their grandmother's death and there was little left of the rose garden. Mike was a landscape designer whose only intention was to put the gardens at Rose Cottage back the way they should be. He did not intend to fall in love with the beautiful Melanie. He couldn't fall in love, not with his daughter as fragile as she was, not with his own sense of failure and betrayal. Melanie couldn't fall in love, either. Men weren't trustworthy and she wasn't trustworthy in picking out a good one. Can these two goofy kids get it together? Of course they can--this is a romance.

Good read. I'm reading all four of them eventually.
