Being the second book in this series I knew what to expect as of set plot and writing style. I have developed a great joy for this series and can't wait to get my hands on the next book. Half Hell-spawn Daisy Johanssen is a wonderful heroine with great character depth. I love the supernatural creatures and beings through out the series, as well as the spunky joe-pye weed fairy with attitude Jojo. I found the opening scene of the satyr attack unto Rainbow's end rather a colorful start to the book, rather interesting to read. Daisy's love life within this book rather transforms very much from how it ended in the last book. First with exploring her relationship with Kalamazoo Jamaican Sinclair Palmer, then their break-up, to her getting intimate with her long standing crush officer Cody Fiarfax, plus her intimate kisses with sexy local ghoul leader Stefan. I look forward to seeing how all this plays out for Daisy. I also quite enjoyed the fact that Jen's sister had been turned to a bad-ass vampire and works to protect her family. I could go on, and on about how much I love this book but another small bit is sometimes, though very little it seemed slow. All in total I loved this book!
