A historical biography written using the letters, chronicles, and testimony at Joan's trial. The legendary aspects of this young girls life in the background that created an alive, believable human being, the historical Joan and the documents that portray her. The author's mannerisms and prejudices often obscure her behind a mist of emotion and controversy. A great historical read of a real human being who emerges speaking and acting from the fifteenth century.
