I have read countless biographies of Jane Austen and I began reading this book with very low expectations, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I thought the author caught Jane's "voice" and it was a very enjoyable read. If you haven't read a biography of Jane Austen or perhaps find biographies dry or uninteresting, I think you would find this a diverting biography in novel form.
