Lily will spend the summer in Rockaway, her family's summer house. The summer of 1844- World War II has changed everyone's life. Her best frind Margret has moved a way. And much worse, Lily's father is going overseas to the war.
Theres no one Lily's age in Rockaway, until Albert a refugee from Hungrary with a secret sewn into his coat. Albert has lost most of his family to the war. Soon they begin to form a friendship. Now they both have secrets to share. They both have told lies, and Lily has told one that may cost Albert his life.
