The premise sounded very interesting, and I really wanted to like this book. But it's like I kept waiting for something to happen. Just when I thought we would get to the meat of the story, the author just kind of glosses over things. It could have gone so much deeper. I think the author had two characters, Veronica & the mother, that she did a great disservice to. They could have been more thoroughly developed.
