Here is #1 reason you should read the prophecies book series. Because this is what will happen in America if we don't stop doing the same ol stuff. You need more reasons?

It's written very well.
The characters are interesting and believable.
There are a lot of suspense/thrills.
The plot will get you thinking...a lot.
It's one of the most unique stories I've ever read.
