Lady Marianne Winchilsea's father is arrested on suspicion of attempting to kill the king. Marianne's gypsy aunt hides her from the king's men in a gypsy caravan that camps near the estate her father bought from the evil uncle of the Earl of Falkham, who sold the estate when the Earl was thought dead.... very nice read.
