Back of book says: Don Nix 'splains it in this candid look-back on a terrific areer: a fascinating odyssey of Southern rock 'n' blues. A pioneer mover-and-shaker (and one of the finest of the breed) he came out of the Memphis/Muscle Shoals matrix along with compeers like Steve Croppe, Packy Axton and Jimmy Johnson -- those country-fried originals who took the left turn to the blues. And who left their indelible mark on American rock music.

I say: If you can understand the blurb on the back of this book you'll enjoy the book. Interesting photos and reminiscences - lots of jargon. The last chapter has some recipes - examples are; Larry Raspberry's Artichoke Dip; Texas Chicken Fried Steak; Delaney's Stew; Junior's Soul Slaw; Quiche; Vegetable Senegalese Stew; Everybody's Favorite (featuring bologna and Red Nehi).
