Palmer LLoyd is a man used to getting what he wants. He's a wealthy collector of rare artifacts. He now has his sight set on a meteorite discovered on Isla Desolacion, just off the coast of Chile. He hires Eli Glinn and Effective Engineering Solutions, EES, to work out a way to retrieve it and bring it back to New York. EES isn't known for failure but Glinn might have finally bitten off more than he can chew. Among the challenges will be the storms of the South Atlantic, coupled with a renegade Chilean Commandante who is hunting them down with a vengance. When they finally find the meteorite, they discover that it is much more than they imagined and the real question becomes, will they leave Chile alive?

The Ice Limit by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child is one wild ride. Perhaps best known for their collaborative Pendergast  series, this writing duo is like no other pair today. This book has it all: interesting plot, well-developed characters and a cliff-hanger ending. If you like Clive Cussler and Jack DuBrul, then Ice Limit should be at the top of your pile. I happily give this book 4/5 stars.
