I have NEVER in all my life of reading been more disappointed in a novel than I was in this one. I thought that I knew what I was getting. I was secure in my knowledge that the '4 Seasons' books of Firefly Glen were great, happy, kind, even funny at times. I enjoyed the books immensely. I LOVED the characters. Even the less than lovable ones. This series was what I read romance for. Happy stories w/o the problems and stresses of today.
Saying all that, I was glad to see that there was a follow-up to the series that finished the story involving Mike and Suzie. DO NOT BE FOOLED. This is not a romance novel. It has disturbing violent scenes that stayed with me for days. That is not what I read romance novels for. I could listen to the nightly news for that. I am glad to know how the Mike/Suzie drama ended; however, anyone who thoroughly enjoyed the light- hearted romps thru Firefly Glen in books 1-4 should stop there. Book 5 will stay with you, and not in a good way.
