SPECTACULAR as usual. J.D. Robb absolutely rocks!

Eve Dallas is on the trail of a cop killer. Amaryllis Coltraine recently transferred from Atlanta PD to New York (not Eve's squad but local). Amaryllis and ME Morris (Dallas's friend) hookup and it's serious. When she is murdered, Dallas catches the case. Dallas is a victim's advocate (so to speak) and Amaryllis is no different though Eve's connection to Morris makes it personal. Eve is stunningly brilliant as usual and locks this up tight in between a bridal shower and a bachelor party.

I particularly like the comic relief elements between Roarke and Eve. Here's my favorite from this one:

On the eve of the bachelor party and the bridal shower at their house, Eve's absolutely freaking out over the girlie stuff and this is the conversation between them.

Eve: Let me come with you (to the bachelor party)
Roarke: Let me see your penis.
Eve: Oh God. Can't I use yours?
Roarke: At any other time. Now pull yourself together.

I laughed out loud. Too funny and a typical exchange between these two.
