Chef Gwen Fletcher has moved to Misty Harbor, Maine, to fulfill her dream of opening her own restaurant. She quickly learns that the small town is full of eligible bachelors, from politicians to fishermen, and finds herself being openly courted. Despite their attention, Gwen is drawn to Daniel Creighton, the handsome carpenter she's hired to renovate her restaurant, Catch of the Day. Daniel is also attracted to Gwen but believes that she, like most women, will be unable to see beyond his scarred face. As the two work long hours together toiling over the grand-opening preparations for the restaurant, their friendship blossoms into romance.
