Book Review of The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids Favorite Meals

reviewed on + 168 more book reviews

Pureeing fruits and vegetables is not that difficult to do. I have a one-year-old son, and I made all his baby food from scratch by pureeing things for him to eat. All you really need is a blender. Since we started him on solids during the summer months, I used as much fresh fruits and veggies as I could. Now that we are in to the winter months and not much stuff is in season right now, I use frozen bags of fruits and veggies. By making baby food for my son, I know that he's getting healthy choices, it's a lot cheaper in the long run, and it really doesn't take much to make purees and freeze them. Thanks to homemade food, my son is not a picky eater and I hope to continue giving him healthy food options and will utilize a cookbook like this one in order to make sure all his meals are nutritious.
