just because you can't put this book down, doesn't mean that it is good.
i couldn't put it down, and i hated it.
so i think it is enchanted or something.
maybe, maybe, this book would be intriguing to girls young enough to have never been in a real relationship before, but anyone older and wiser than that who likes it,makes me wonder...
the character of edward was very seductive to my bored housewife psyche...but that is because i am cloistered with my husband and children for weeks at a time and haven't had a romance in many years (except the one with my husband)
the character of bella is snivelling and weak and ruined the entire book for me. i hated the fact that she was supposed to be portrayed as an outcast, when the popular kids (especially boys) in school were fighting for her attention and favor. that does not happen in real life. had she been made more unconventional and intriguing then MAYBE i wouldn't hate this book.
hate is a strong word, i know... but with such intriguing possibilities and such (absolutely false, completely overexaggerated)hype of this author and the supposed quality of this book, i expected FAR more than i got.
this book was milktoast.
i won't be reading the next...but offer it here so i can get a credit toward something worth reading. :)
