This is the 7th in the Owen Archer series and continues the well-researched plot lines of Archer, a Welsh soldier in service with the Yorkshire clergy, and his wife, Lucie, an apothecary with her own shop, unusual for a woman at that time. Life was certainly thrilling in 1370. A good historical mystery.

This edition is printed in England by Heinemann, a larger, trade-sized paperback and hard to get in the US.
