Very well-written and a good story, though with a caveat. This is a definite crossover with SG1 and leans more toward the SG1 than the SGA. The Team is seldom in the same room, though I found all the characters sounded like themselves. Some of the dialogue is really funny and some really memorable. However, a LOT of what happens or the "backstory" for what's happening happened in SG1 and not SGA. If you didn't watch it, you may be a bit lost.

There's action, danger, fighting, Shep-whump, Teyla using all her extra skills, Ronon, Weir, Lorne, Rodney quips and a trip to Australia. The authors did a LOT of research into mythology, religious texts, and things I suspect were developed in SG1 (which I seldom watched) plus detail on genetics and a unique view of Wraith DNA, plus a great new alien world full of aliens that eventually do tie-in to the plot.

Altogether I enjoyed it even if didn't watch much SG1, but those who mainly want an SGA Team story should probably by-pass this one.
