Can a parent love too much? Or is too much never enough? By age 13, Anna has undergone countless surgeries, transfusions, and shots so that her older sister, Kate, can fight the lukemia that has plagued her since childhood. Anna was conceived as a bone marrow match for her sister. She has not challenged this role until now. This decision tears her family apart and could have fatal consequences for her sister. This novel raises some important ethical issues. Makes for a great book club discussion, too.
