A quick read. Ending is different than what I anticipated. The author describes the inside of a call center in India through the character of Shyam (or Sam to the Americans). The journey of Shyam and his co workers takes place during the American holiday of Thanksgiving. Each character can be both selfless and narcissistic. Although I recommend this book, the characters in the book appear to be anti American. As many Americans dislike the outsourcing of call center positions to India, it appears from this fictional story, the Indians dislike providing service to Americans for what Americans would consider an extremely low wage.
