I'm not going to review the synopsis as other reviews here have done that. While I did enjoy some aspects of this book, I am going to have to reserve judgment on the series until the next book comes out. It almost felt like the author was trying to mix in and handle too many things at once. You had the introduction of the members of the sisterhood and trying to get to know them a little better, this grave robbing mystery that needed to be solved, the nastiness of the handler Ms. Z and the amoral way she handles herself, the paranormal issues of not only the case but the abilities of the members of the sisterhood, and then there is the romance with "Bear" that I just felt was treated like an afterthought than a true sub-plotline to appeal to those who like romance. I enjoyed the crime/mystery part of the story, and I'm looking forward to finding out more about the pasts of the members of the sisterhood, but just felt that the romance between Sam and Bear didn't get the attention and detail it deserved in the long run, and it almost seemed like their relationship hadn't had a chance to develop fully. Overall it was an enjoyable story and I will definitely check out the next book in the series before deciding how I feel about the series itself. I enjoyed the paranormal and crime/mystery part of the story, and was a little less enamored with how the romance was handled and hope the author focuses better in the next one, but it was an overall enjoyable read.
