This is an amazing read. It runs the emotional gamut of agonizing lows and effervescent highs. I laughed and cried, mostly, found myself rooting for and encouraging the main character, Brendon. The author does an excellent job of taking you through Brendan's torture at the loss of his sight and subsequent depression without drowning the reader in misery, however, on Brendan good days, when things start to improve, you are right there with Brendan as he feels life return. This is easily the best book I have read in a LONG time. Most of the books I read here lately will get passed on for others to enjoy, but I will hang on to this one. A definite keeper.
