Beautiful Gift copy. This is my favorite of Cynthia davis' Books. This book shows us when we accept God he meets us where we are and takes us to where he wants us to be.

You are a brave woman, Abigail, wife of a fool." The smile was warm, and my throat went dry. "You know my name?" My reply was husky. I swallowed hard. "A man in my position must know many things. I heard that you were wise. Now I see that you beautiful, as well." David bent near my ear to answer. "I must allow you to return to your husband." His words sounded regretful. "Be comforted to know that I am watching for your safety. The God of Israel has used you this day to keep my hands from blood and vengeance. Tell your husband that the courage and beauty of Abigail saved Nabal and all his possessions from destruction."

She Defied Tradition...and Found Her Place in God's Plan

Abigail's marriage to Nabal brings her into a household of wealth, and a life of ease- but one where the only master is Nabal, not the Lord. After Nabal foolishly refuses David's men when they ask for food and water, Abigail's brave determination to make things right with David sets her on a new course. Later, when David learns that Nabal has died, he asks the courageous Abigail to be his wife.

In this, her seventh novel in the Footprints from the Bible series, Cynthia Davis once again brings the scriptures to life and shows us how, no matter what outward circumstances are, when we're following God's footsteps we're in exactly the right place.
