From back of book: Emma Dawson is living a peaceful life in the northern Michigan woods until paramedic Tyler McGillis walks into her teashop and into her heart. But danger also follows Tyler into town and Emma is the target. Looking for a quiet place to recuperate from a devastating accident that has left him bitter and scarred, Tyler soon finds himself promising to keep an eye on the stubborn Emma. But can he keep her safe and save his heart at the some time?
Emma works to convince Tyler that God can use all things for His good and glory, but her own faith is tested as a town vandal slowly destroys the things Emma holds most dear. Emma and Tyler both find themselves making promises they can't keep and learning that they must put their trust in the promises of God alone.
