Clint Strong was just passing through Flatville when his car broke-down. He had no intention of getting involved with Alison O'Hara and especially no intention of getting involved with her four-year old daughter. He was a drifter on purpose. He was just a temporary boarder in Allison's house--he was not involved in this woman's problems, not her obvious money problems and not the hurt that he glimpsed in her eyes. He had enough trouble trying to outrun his own hurt.

The real problem-- once he'd tasted Allison's lips, could he ever run far enough to forget her?

Liked the book. Interesting charachters with interesting problems.
