I liked this book okay, but it wasn't a favorite from Alexandra Benedict. The hero and heroine were lovers some years past and parted on poor terms. When the story begins, they are thrust into eachother's lives once again...
I felt like I missed something. I like when h/h have a past, but I like the flashbacks to tell me about the people, not just about what happened to them.
After I finished, I saw that Ms. Benedict has an ebook novella on how they originally met. It made me feel ripped off - like maybe she held something back from the book to write that.
That being said, the story line flows and the flashbacks are intersperced in good parts, and i especially like the external characters from james' family.
Good read, but not for the top of the TBR pile.
