An okay read. I enjoyed the first two books in the series and looked forward to reading about Forbes. Unfortunately, Forbes turned out to be an annoying character that didn't make much sense to me. Alaine wasn't much better. I just plain didn't like the characters. The way the family interacted was completely out of character in comparison to the other books and very disappointing. On top of that, the romance felt forced and the ending was rushed and completely unbelievable.
I had looked forward to Kaye Dacus's books before this one, but I was disappointed.
