This book was a lot of fun to read. The writer had a nice, light writing style that made the story seem very real (the voice of a teen boy was very clear in the story) and reachable (I felt this book was an easy read).
The characters are very realistic. They are all a mix of positive characteristics that make them lovable and negative characteristics that make them human. And they change throughout the story.
I was disappointed that the storyline with Ulf was not more complete at the end. I felt Matt needed to meet with Ulf again after swimming the fly to debrief from the experience because the experience obviously changed Matt but I am not sure in what ways. And I am not sure that Matt really gets what changed for him too.
