This story was a little weird for me. Jesse and Sarah were married young. He was the consumate "bad boy", never staying at a job, riding his Harley, etc. Sarah was the ultimate "good girl" who defied her parents and ran off with him. They moved to Seattle where Sarah befriended Annabel who was the "bad girl" who married Patrick, a steady (boring) scientist. They become friends and one night Annabel and Jesse get drunk at a party and have sex in the back seat of a car. Patrick and Sarah discover them and things unravel from there. Both couples end up divorcing and then re-marrying the other's spouse. Their children then become involved and get married. It's the closest to incest that I've ever read.
