Although I really really like the Hillerman books better than this series, the insights that the Turlos' give into Navaho spirituality are very appealing. This second book in the series is better wriiten than the first, in my view-I have just technical things in mind here. I am wondering how the authors are going to vary their story lines in future books-it almost seems like there is only one antagonist concept for them, which I will not give away here. Perhaps the authors will do more in their descriptions of the landscape as did Tony Hillerman. After only one visit to the area, the more I can picture in my mind the better I like it. But all in all this is a very satisfying story.
