Book Review of What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause: The Breakthrough Book on Natural Hormone Balance

Helpful Score: 3

A really informative read on EVERYTHING you ever wanted to know about hormones but didn't know who to ask. There's lots of topics to include: Menopausal Politics (who knew?) and Women's Hormone Cycles; The Dance of the Steroids; my personal favorite Sex Hormones and the Brain, and so much more! All kidding aside, the chapters on how hormone balance affects illness, cardiovascular disease, cancer; how, when, and where to seek out hormone replacement therapy (HRT); other common health problems you'd never know (my mother never told me)were related to hormone imbalances; what causes ovarian cysts; nutrition; and a great chapter of question and answers. There's some technical graphs and explanations thrown in to impress the authors colleagues but you can skip past that. The book is easy to navigate with a reader friendly outline. And best of all....it spans the generation gap from my teenage daughters PMS to my menopause to my mom's osteoperosis. How great is that! Open the book on this one.
