I thought this was a phenomenal book, especially considering it's essentially Nikki's diary with little tidbits of current information here and there. You should probably be a Motley Crue fan if you're reading this, otherwise you might not get the references to songs while they're being written -- or just a rock'n'roll fan in general, really. For me, the underlying point about this book is that this is the story of someone who has taken the long way around and learned from his mistakes. Yes, at times he is childish and arrogant, but aren't we all? The old phrase "hindsight is 20/20" comes to mind. This book also cemented the fact that I will never go near heroin, coke, or any other hard drugs. I don't want to be curled up in my closet with my shotgun, thank you very much.
