Reminiscent of The Glass House, people come and go against the background of a summer house on the lake. There is a mix of the ordinary and the out of the ordinary. Events of love and politics and war coming of age are viewed against the backdrop of a single locale.
I am reminded of the lesson of The Floating Opera by John Barth.
