This book had an interesting and unusual premise about an independent Regency-era businesswoman, although the hero, Ben, was the one that really shone more than the heroine in my opinion. Throughout the book, her well-being was the #1 thing on his mind. He never failed to look out for her, which I love in a hero! The heroine, Eleanor, continued to have misconceptions about what he wanted, trying to make herself over into a more proper wife, in spite of him clearly showing and telling her that he liked her just the way she was, and she allowed herself to be manipulated by an interfering mother-in-law, which got a little annoying. However, one of my favorite plots is when the characters marry towards the beginning of the book, and you see them getting to know each other and ultimately falling in love and overcoming obstacles to make the marriage work. So overall, I really enjoyed it.
