I hate to rate and review books that I was unable to finish, but I do feel a certain responsibility to my fellow romance readers to give them some sort of warning about this book. In short, it stinks:P I was actually under the impression that as a plot device, injuring the heroine in such a way as to force the hero to get her undressed in Chapter 1 had gone the way of the dinosaur - and rightly so. The set-up is as thin as a tissue, the hero's language anachronistic - even for an American - and the use of long since exhausted plot devices get this story off to a less than promising start. All before Chapter 5...
Again, to be absolutely fair, I just couldn't get into it, so I can't swear that it doesn't get any better, but I also think if you have to struggle that hard to get through the first few chapters of a story, it's not exactly a good sign.

Rating: None, since it was a DNF (did not finish).
