The first book in this series was good. This book is an unabashed treatise on diversity with little or no thought given to a science fiction story line. There are no heroes here, just scared little beings afraid of hurting some diverse beings feelings. This is totally antithetic to the original intent of Star Trek and Mr. Rodenberry would be upset to say the least. Overall an awful read and I would not recommend it to anyone and I will not finish the series.
