This book gives great advice and information on snowshoe trails. Many trails are quite different in the winter than they are in the summer, and trails that may be great hikes in the warmer months may bee too difficult when covered with ice or snow. Likewise some long or unpleasant routes become easier when obstructing water barriers become iced over, and pesky flying insects are all dead! Snowshoes can also go many places cross country skis cannot. This book is chock full of answers to all these issues making it very easy to choose a trail, and het out on it quickly. The one thing this book lacks is really good topos. I never go anywhere without one!
