The words screamed at me from the front of the morning paper. And underneath those words was a picture- my sister's picture. My sister Carrie was missing. She had taken her backpack,some things from my dresser, my mother's necklace, and walked out the door.

But Carrie took more than that when she walked out our front door. She took pieces of our lives, pieces that could never be replaced.

Carrie was gone. And somewhere deep inside, I knew she wasn't coming back.
