This is an excellent book for those interested in the part of the world that takes care of the other part. Each chapter is an independent essay of it's own. The chapters range from nannies in the US to the customs of filial duty in Taiwan to sex workers in Thailand..... It is extremely interesting, fascinating and at times harrowing. I enjoyed it immensely. It is edited by Barbara Ehrenreich, who wrote Nickel and Dimed and Arlie Russell Hochschild, Author of The Time Bind. I also read Nickel and Dimed and it was an excellent book as well.
