From the back cover:
She had to put up with him-he provided the only solution
Condidering she didn't like him very much, Doctor Tane va Diederijk seemed to pop up in Euphemia's life quite a lot. But beggars couldn't be choosers. Euphemia had been left with debts to pay and a big house she couldn't afford to keep. Tane offered the only workable solution to her problems-he would become Euphemia's tenant. However difficult it might be, Euphemia was going to have to grit her teeth and bear it. After all, Tane might grow on her ...in time.

He's a doctor, she's a nurse (with family, debts, etc.). Typical Betty Neels, quick enjoyable read. For those not familiar with Ms Neels' work, there is no sex. Most of the books this author wrote could be described as the Cinderella story. There is an appeal to the stories (most anyway, there are some I didn't like) that for me is difficult to describe. Umm, good triumphs and virtue is rewarded is about the closest I can get.
