Think "Eureka" meets the "X-Files" for this psycho-supernatural- mystery-drama story. People with special powers are brought together for testing and their combined mental abilities unwittingly unleash a long supressed violent spirit. The body count is high and the writing is good. I read it on a long trip and skipped the in-flight movie to get to the end.
