I mostly enjoyed this novel loosely based on the Packhorse Librarians in 1930's Kentucky. Learning about the Packhorse librarians and strong women from history is interesting. The story started to drag and spiral into many different dramatic situations (floods, domestic abuse, murder trials) that took away from the interesting parts of the story.
